“Spend less time formatting, more time with people.”
My Activity Genie is in closed beta — an open beta is coming shortly.
We are working through the app alongside a handful of activity directors who use it for their real monthly calendars, so every round of feedback lands in the product before the next people arrive. That is why access is limited today rather than open to everyone. Opening it up is the next step, and it is close.
Add your name and we will email you the moment the open beta starts. It is free to join, and the calendars you make are yours to keep and print.

Microsoft Publisher retires October 2026
Publisher is retiring. Your activity calendar isn't.
Microsoft retires Publisher in October 2026. My Activity Genie is the purpose-built next home for activity professionals — and the move starts with the calendar you already made. No special export needed: print it, screenshot it, copy the text, or grab the spreadsheet it came from.
- A print-first calendar builder — what you see on screen is what comes off the printer.
- Matching daily flyers, newsletters, and signs from the same month's events.
- The work around the calendar too: tasks, budgets, professionals, staff, and an event library.
- Genie, the built-in AI assistant — plain English in, a laid-out month out.
Bring last month’s calendar with you
Paste it in
Copy your schedule out of an email, a Word document, or an Excel sheet and paste it in — Genie turns it into calendar events.
Upload the spreadsheet you already have
Excel and OpenDocument files (.xlsx, .xls, .ods) and .csv exports come through intact — even multi-sheet workbooks and month-grid layouts.
Or snap a photo
Take a photo or screenshot of your printed calendar and watch it become an editable calendar.
Every import is reviewable — the new events land right on your calendar, and one click undoes the whole batch.
From idea to finished calendar
One tool for calendars, flyers, newsletters, signs — and the work around them.
My Activity Genie brings planning, design, AI assistance, approvals, and publishing together in one workspace. Instead of juggling spreadsheets, design tools, shared folders, and email chains, your team works from one source of truth.
Add your events
Type them in, pull them from your event library, or let Genie do the heavy lifting. It reads plain English, creates recurring events, assigns locations, and organizes the month for you.
Make it yours
Choose themes, colors, fonts, icons, backgrounds, and graphics. Use AI-generated artwork or your own tagged image library to land a polished, on-brand look.
Generate the extras
Turn the calendar into matching daily flyers, newsletters, sign-up sheets, supply lists, and signs — all from the same content and the same styling system.
Print, share, approve
Export print-ready PDFs, route the month for sign-off, publish to your subscriber portal, and sync events out to Google Calendar or Outlook.
Feature-rich without feeling complicated
The features that make My Activity Genie feel like magic.
Everything an activity team needs to plan the month, make it beautiful, get it approved, and get it out the door.
WYSIWYG calendar builder
What you see is exactly what prints. Drop events onto the page, style them live, and preview the finished sheet at real page size — Letter through Tabloid — with no surprises at the printer.
Genie, your AI assistant
Ask for a month in plain English. Genie adds events, builds recurring patterns, assigns locations, and applies styling — then shows you exactly what it changed.
AI artwork & backgrounds
Generate custom illustrations, day backgrounds, and decorative images from a prompt. No design background required.
Themes & full styling control
Fonts, colours, per-day styling, borders, icons, header rows, and a free-form graphics layer over the grid. Save a whole look as a theme and reuse it every month.
Print & export
One click to print or export a polished PDF. Letter, Legal, Tabloid, A4, A3 and A5 — portrait or landscape — with the page size baked into the print dialog.
Documents beyond calendars
Newsletters, flyers, sign-up sheets, supply lists, and signs in a full rich-text editor with tables, images, and templates — exported as PDF, PNG, or an editable Word document.
Image library with tags
Organize uploads and generated art with tags, browse a shared library, and reuse the same images across every calendar and document.
Event library
Keep your best activities in one place — descriptions, categories, and supply lists — then drop them onto any month in a couple of clicks.
Work calendar & tasks
A separate operational view for the team: prep tasks, assignees, checklists, reusable templates, and a workload board so nothing about an event gets forgotten.
Professionals, budgets & staff
Track the entertainers and professionals you book, what each event costs against your monthly budget, and which staff members are covering it.
Approval workflows
Route a calendar for sign-off in the app or by emailed link. External reviewers approve without an account, and every decision and comment is recorded.
Team workspaces & roles
Share calendars across your team or your whole organization with owner, admin, editor, and viewer roles — and a facility hierarchy for multi-site operators.
Google & Outlook sync
Connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook and sync a calendar in, out, or both ways — with a preview of every change before it is applied.
Subscriber portal
Publish a branded page and calendar feed for residents, families, and staff, with announcements, event invites, and a QR code for the printed calendar.
Why teams love it
Built to save time, reduce friction, and make the finished result look incredible.
No design background required
Genie, the templates, and the themes do the hard parts, so more people on the team can produce polished materials with confidence.
Looks genuinely professional

Saves hours every month

Questions
The things activity teams ask us first.
- What is My Activity Genie?
- It is a calendar and publishing tool built specifically for activity teams in senior living. You build a month of activities once, then turn it into a printed calendar, daily activity flyers, a newsletter, and door signs — without fighting a general-purpose design program.
- Who is it for?
- Activity directors, life-enrichment and recreation staff, and the teams around them in assisted living, memory care, independent living, skilled nursing, and adult day programs. It suits a single community just as well as an organization running several.
- Do I need design skills to use it?
- No. Templates, themes, and an AI assistant handle layout, spacing, and styling. Most people produce a finished, printable month without touching a design tool, and anything the assistant does can be undone from version history.
- Is there a free plan, and do I need a credit card?
- Yes to the free plan, and no card is required to start. It gives you one calendar and the document editor, and you can upload your facility logo. Finished output carries a watermark, image uploads and AI features are on the paid plans, and a calendar left untouched for 30 days is cleaned up automatically — your logo is always kept. During the beta we set participants up with the paid features at no cost, so what you see while testing is more than the free plan alone.
- Can I print the calendar, or export it?
- Both. Calendars, flyers, newsletters, and signs export as print-ready PDF, as PNG images, or as Word-compatible DOCX files, so you can print in-house, send to a print shop, or hand a file to someone who wants to edit it elsewhere.
- Is this a replacement for Microsoft Publisher?
- For activity calendars, yes — that is the job it was built to take over. The difference is that it understands what a month of activities is, rather than treating it as boxes of text, so recurring programs, a reusable event library, and copying last month forward all work without rebuilding the page each time.
- Can my team work together on the calendar?
- Yes. Team workspaces let several people work in the same calendar, roles decide who can edit and who can only view, and an approval step lets a manager review a month before it is published. Version history means an edit is never a one-way door.
- Does it work with the calendar we already use?
- It connects to Google Calendar and Outlook, so events already on a shared work calendar can appear alongside what you plan here instead of being retyped.
- How long does it take to build a month?
- The first month usually takes an afternoon, because you are setting up your locations, recurring programs, and the look you want. After that it is far quicker: copy last month forward, let the recurring events fill themselves in, adjust what changed, and print.
- Is resident information safe?
- The product is deliberately not designed to hold protected health information, and we ask you not to put it in. Activity calendars are about programs and schedules, not diagnoses or care details. Your content stays scoped to your own workspace, and roles control who can see and change it.
